About BlueTree Group
blueTree Group is a social enterprise that aims to increase access to affordable, quality books for children in low income countries. We provide hands-on assistance to country, NGO, and donor-funded education projects to support their book development, from procurement through publishing, printing and distribution, including the development and implementation of track and trace system. We support analytical and technical work to improve book supply chain management at country and project levels. We also build local capacity among regional publishers, printers and distributors and provide support to governments to create a conducive policy environment for a thriving local book industry.
Job Summary
blueTree Group is conducting a global search for a Senior Associate, Business Development and Project Management with experience working with international donors and NGOs in the education sector. Experience in the book supplychain and international education development is required. The Senior Associate will be responsible for the development of new businesses and proposal preparation. She/he will also provide quality assurance for blueTree Group’s analytical and technical work before submission to clients.
Responsibilities include
- Proposal development
- Understand and respond to clients’ needs
- Prepare reports on upcoming business opportunities
- Identify and implement internal process improvements to better position the business for success
- Provides quality assurance for reports and other products to ensure consistently high standards
- Provide input on website features and design, along with social media content
- Attend educational workshops and conferences, review professional publications, strengthen professional network and participate in professional events and organizations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the international education sector, with a focus on early grade reading and teaching & learning materials
- University degree with experience in research and reporting
- Knowledge of USAID and its operations
- Work experience in the book supply chain preferred
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Spanish (speaking and writing) is preferred
