About BlueTree Group
BlueTree Group is a social enterprise whose mission is to enhance access to affordable, quality books for children in low-income countries. We provide hands-on assistance to educational projects in terms of their book development-, procurement-, print- and distribution- needs. We build local capacity amongst regional printers and distributors and provide support to the government to create a conducive policy environment for a thriving local book industry.
Internship Description
BlueTree Group Netherlands is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and motivated Research & Project Management intern, that will work along with the BTG team on our education projects. This includes the following activities:
- Doing research for the Book Supply Chain Analysis in Bangladesh, Tadzhikistan, and Nigeria.
- Doing in-depth research on our focus themes: Book Supply Chains, Printing, Distribution, Education in Emergencies, Education for children with disabilities.
- Data analysis on research and interviews conducted, and report on BlueTree Groups projects for our website
Desirable Soft Skills
- Has experience, or is open to working, in a small intercultural team, with enthusiasm and passion
- Hands-on approach, willingness to learn
- Result-oriented and meticulous planning
- Affinity with books, children, education, or international supply chains
Requirements
- Masters in Science or Masters in Arts on international development/ project management or any related field student
- Has excellent English writing skills, any other language is a plus
- Based in the Netherlands
- Knowledge on or experienced in working in developing countries is a plus, particularly in Bangladesh, Tajikistan or Nigeria
What we offer
