We use our 20 years of experience in the printing and publishing industry to increase access to affordable, high-quality books for children in low-income countries across the globe.
Millions of children across the globe currently lack basic reading skills. Alarmingly, two thirds of these children are actually in school. The lack of learning and writing materials is at the root of this ‘learning crisis’. Studies have shown the importance of high-quality reading and writing materials in supporting learning. A study by the World Bank even states that textbooks are one of the most cost-effective learning tools. Despite the importance and positive effect of books they are still absent in far too many classrooms across the world.
BlueTree was established to tackle the absence of books in schools.
Our goal is to increase access to affordable, high-quality books for children in low-income countries. Books, delivered by an efficient and sustainable local book chain, are a key ingredient for quality education. BlueTree and our team of experts have collectively supported the printing and distribution of over 100 million books. We have lived and worked in over 35 countries and have more than 20 years of experience in the global book supply chain. We have experts in Kenya, Malawi, France and the Netherlands, and offices in Kenya and the Netherlands.
BlueTree works with Ministries of Education, printers and book supply chain country experts in low-income countries, NGO’s, Development Partners and logistics companies.
We work to make sure that all books are available, affordable, appropriate and accessible for all children.
BlueTree contributed to the delivery of millions of books to the hands of children across the globe.
